Find answers to common questions about forecasting your music release success

Getting Started

To create your first project, click the 'New Project' button on your dashboard. You'll need to provide basic information like your release title, expected release date, target outcome (streams, followers, etc.), and your target number. The more details you provide, the more accurate your forecast will be.

For the most accurate forecasts, provide: your release date, genre, release type (single/EP/album), distributor, marketing budget range, any collaborators, your email list size, and top audience countries. Connect your streaming and social platforms to import your historical data automatically.

Go to your Dashboard and look for the 'Platform Connections' section. From here, you can connect Spotify for Artists, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms. Each connection requires you to authorize access to your account data. If there is no automatic integration available, you can input the required data manually by presing the 'Manual' button.

Free accounts can create one forecast per account and access basic recommendations. Paid tiers offer unlimited forecasts, advanced analytics, and priority support. Premium users also get more detailed boost factor analysis, personalized action plans and the ability to chat to our industry-specalised AI Coach.

Platform Connections

Click 'Connect Spotify' in your Platform Connections section. You'll be redirected to Spotify to authorize access. Make sure you're using the same email associated with your Spotify for Artists account. If you don't have Spotify for Artists access, you'll need to claim your artist profile first.

In the Platform Connections section, click the platform you want to connect (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). You'll be redirected to authorize access. We recommend connecting all your active social platforms for the most comprehensive analysis. If you're connecting an Instagram, Facebook or Threads profile, your account will need to be switched to a Business acount for this to work.

We collect public metrics like follower counts, engagement rates, streaming numbers, and audience demographics. We never access private messages, personal information, or make posts on your behalf. All data is used solely for generating your forecasts, recommendations, and to improve our service to you.

Platform data is updated every 24 hours automatically. Spotify data may take longer to update due to their API limitations. You can manually refresh your data from the Data Connections section, but this is subject to rate limits.

Connection failures usually happen due to expired tokens or changed permissions. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the platform. If issues persist, check that you haven't revoked access in your platform's settings, or contact support for assistance.

Forecasting & Predictions

Our forecasts use models that analyze your historical streaming data, social media engagement, audience demographics, release strategy, and over 20 other factors. The algorithm weights your profile to similar artists, industry trends and releases to predict likely outcomes. The more data you provide, the more accurate the prediction becomes.

Accuracy depends on data quality and completeness, how long you've been releasing music, consistency of your release pattern, market conditions, and seasonal trends. Artists with more historical data and connected platforms typically see higher accuracy rates. Our models continuously learn and improve over time.

Free users can create forecasts only once. Standard users get weekly refreshes, and Complete users get daily updates. You're in control of when the forecast is updated, so consider only updating when significant new data becomes available, such as major changes in your streaming numbers or social engagement.

Confidence ranges show the likely minimum and maximum outcomes based on statistical analysis. A narrow range indicates high confidence, while a wider range suggests more uncertainty. The ranges account for market volatility, seasonal effects, and the inherent unpredictability of music success.

Forecasts are predictions based on historical patterns and current data. Real outcomes can differ due to viral moments, algorithm changes, unexpected collaborations, market shifts, or external factors like news events. We track prediction accuracy and continuously improve our models based on real outcomes.

Recommendations & Tips

Recommendations are personalized based on your current metrics, target goals, genre, release timeline, and successful strategies from similar artists. Our AI identifies the biggest gaps between your current performance and your goals, then suggests specific actions that have proven most effective for artists in similar situations.

Priority levels indicate potential impact on your forecast. High priority items can significantly boost your likelihood score and are time-sensitive. Medium priority items provide solid improvements with moderate effort. Low priority items are nice-to-haves that complement your overall strategy.

Click the checkbox next to any recommendation to mark it complete. This updates your forecast to reflect the expected boost from completing that action. You can also add notes about how you implemented the recommendation for future reference.

Boost points quantify the expected impact of each recommendation on your likelihood score. They're calculated based on historical data from similar artists who implemented the same strategies. Completing high-impact recommendations can increase your forecast by several percentage points.

Start by researching playlists that feature similar artists in your genre. Focus on mid-tier playlists (1K-50K followers) for better acceptance rates. Personalize your pitches, highlight your unique story, include streaming data, and follow up professionally. Use our curated playlist database for targeted outreach.

Announce your release 4-6 weeks before the release date to build anticipation. Start with a teaser post, follow with pre-save campaigns 2-3 weeks out, then increase posting frequency in the final week. Avoid major holidays and consider your audience's timezone for maximum engagement.

Create compelling visual assets, offer exclusive content for pre-saves, leverage social proof by sharing pre-save milestones, collaborate with other artists for cross-promotion, and use targeted ads to reach similar audiences. Set up automated thank-you messages for pre-savers.

Mix behind-the-scenes content (30%), finished songs and performances (25%), personal story and lifestyle (25%), and engagement content like polls or Q&As (20%). Post consistently, use trending sounds, collaborate with creators, and always include a clear call-to-action directing followers to your music.

Account & Billing

Go to your Account Settings and click 'Upgrade Plan'. Choose between Premium (monthly forecasts, advanced tips) or Pro (daily updates, priority support). You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, with changes taking effect at the next billing cycle.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, and bank transfers for annual plans. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. You can update your payment method at any time in your account settings.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings. Click 'Manage Subscription' and select 'Cancel'. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, and you'll retain access to all features during that time.

Visit your Account Settings and click 'Billing Information'. You can update your payment method, billing address, and download invoices. Changes to payment methods take effect immediately. For billing address changes, contact support if you need backdated invoice corrections.

Data & Privacy

We store your account information, connected platform data (streams, followers, engagement), project details, and usage analytics. All data is stored securely; we only collect data necessary for providing our forecasting service and never sell your information to third parties.

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption. We use secure API connections to platforms, regularly audit our security practices, and comply with GDPR and other privacy regulations. Access to your data is strictly limited to necessary platform operations.

Yes, you can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Go to Account Settings and click 'Delete Account'. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. We'll send a confirmation email and delete all your data within 30 days.

We never sell your data. We only share anonymized, aggregated statistics for research purposes and with trusted partners who help us improve our service (like cloud providers). Any data sharing is covered by strict confidentiality agreements and privacy protections.

Technical Issues

Connection issues usually occur due to incorrect login credentials, expired tokens, or platform API limitations. First, ensure you're using the correct account credentials. Clear your browser cache, disable ad blockers temporarily, and try connecting again. If issues persist, contact our support team.

First, refresh your browser and check your internet connection. If the forecast is generating for the first time, it can take 2-3 minutes. Clear your browser cache and disable browser extensions if problems continue. Contact support if forecasts fail to load after multiple attempts.

Use the 'Report Bug' option in the user menu or contact support directly. Include details about what you were doing when the bug occurred, your browser type and version, screenshots if helpful, and steps to reproduce the issue. We typically respond within 24 hours.

Data discrepancies can occur due to platform API delays, timezone differences, or caching. First, try manually refreshing your data from the Data Connections section. If data remains incorrect after 24 hours, contact support with specific examples of the incorrect information for investigation.
